Edit classification

On this page you can edit an existing classification or add a new one.

The following data is displayed/can be entered:

• The name of the classification system is shown.
• The classification reference number has to be entered.
• The name of the classification has to be entered.
• The superior classification can be optionally entered.

Adding a new classification

• The system does not accept existing reference numbers when adding a new classification
• If entered, the existence of the superior reference number is checked

Editing existing classifications

When editing, the following aspects have to be considered:

Reference number

• If the reference number is edited, existing classification assignments (sources and targets) are refreshed.
• It is not permitted to insert an existing number of another classification (always based on the identical classification system!).
• The reference number of the superior classification has to exist in the system.
• The superior reference number cannot be identical to the edited entry

Delete

• You cannot delete entries with minor classifications.
• When deleting, classification assignments will potentially be deleted.
• Whilst deleting it should principally be considered that the assignments entry is deleted, which does not affect  the classification of already "sorted" products! This takes place when a refresh of the sorting or the assignment is made.
