Creating and editing price groups

A price group sets prices for all products or for selected products of a catalog. Several price groups can be assigned to one catalog. By the definition of basic contracts, the user can define which price group should be valid for a certain purchaser or customer.

1. On the page Catalog administration, click the link Price groups.

   The page Price groups is displayed.

2. Click:
   • the button New entry to add a new price group
   • the icon  to edit an existing price group

   The page Price group is displayed. Select the menu item Help to display detailed information about this page.

3. Select the Catalog for the price group.
4. Enter a Matchcode. The Matchcode is the internal name of the price group. This name can not be changed after you have entered it (and will be imported with the price group during catalog import).
5. Enter a name. This name will be displayed in the selection lists of the system.
6. Select your settings:
   • Visible for the supplier: If you activate this checkbox, a newly generated price group is displayed to a supplier who has access to the system.
   • Visible only for buyer company: The price group is only visible to users of the selected company.
   • Display name of the product group: Activate this option, if the name of the price group shall be visible to the user, for example in the catalog and so on.
7. Click Save.
