Product rule - Details

On this page you can edit and delete an existing product rule or create a new product rule.

General settings

See Approval rules - General_settings for information on the options in this section.

Rule type

In this section, you can specify the condition that must be met in order for the approval rule to take effect. You can select only one of the following options:

Option

Description

Types of costs rule

Select this option if the rule should take effect when a user selects a specific type of costs in the basket.

Select the type of costs from the selection list that is displayed when you select this option.

Product group rule

Select this option if the rule should take effect when a user selects a product from a specific product group in a catalog.

In the selection lists that are displayed when you select this option, select the catalog and product group and enter the name of the company or search for the name. You must select the product group of the lowest level that contains the products; no product group hierarchy is observed.

Free form rule

Select this option if the rule should take effect when a user submits a freeform order for a specific company.

In the Company input field that is displayed when you select this option, enter the name of the company or search for the name.

If you want to have each freeform order approved, enter a zero for the unit price so that the rule also applies if no price is specified in the basket.

User catalog

Select this option if the rule should take effect when a user requests a product from a specific user catalog.

In the User catalog selection list that is displayed when you select this option, select the name of the user catalog.
