In this tab you can specify budgets for a company, such as the total budget and yearly, monthly, weekly or daily budgets. See Budgets - Basics for more information on budgets.
You can also assign control structures, such as types of costs, cost centres, projects and credit cards to a company and specify how these will be displayed and used. See Control structures - Basics for more information on control structures.
Note: A company administrator who are assigned to a specific company can only edit the control structure settings for that company. The budget settings and the assignment of control structure items must be done by a company administrator for all companies.
Budget
In this section you can specify total, yearly, monthly, weekly or daily budgets for the company. Specifying budgets helps to monitor and control company spending. For example, the budgets that you enter here may not be exceeded or, if they are exceeded, baskets must be approved before the corresponding orders are sent to the supplier. You must create an appropriate budget rule to enforce the budgets.
Activate the appropriate check box to display or edit a budget. Select a Currency and enter the Start value and Actual value for the budget. Alternatively, select a budget template from selection list; the budget start values specified in the template are automatically entered. See Budgets for more information on the available options.
Control structure settings
In this section you can assign control structures, such as types of costs, cost centres, projects and credit cards to the company and specify how these will be displayed and used. For example, you can specify whether users of this company must select a cost centre or project when they submit their baskets.
Tip: These settings can be adapted for individual users in the Accounting tab of the user profile.
Activate the check box for each setting that you want to use and assign the appropriate control structure items. See Control structure settings for more information.
