or On this page you can assign product groups to a supplier, from which he may supply products. Product group assignments are used for the following purposes:
Classification
Here product groups from the classification catalogs are displayed. For classification schemes such as eCl@ss or UNSPSC, the products are sorted by their classification groups, whereby these products may contain several suppliers. Assigning product groups makes it easier to classify the supplier.
Free form orders
If product groups are assigned to a supplier, a requester can select one of these product groups (commodity groups) for the order when he creates a freeform order, as long as the requester has rights to order from the catalog of this supplier.
If the commodity group was assigned to a purchaser for editing, the freeform order is displayed in the purchaser's cockpit (Orders / RFQs / Auctions). The prerequisite for this is the approval rule Bedarfsbeginnfilter and for an RFQ the use of the module RFQs/Auctions.
Modules Request for quotation and Auction
The additional modules Quotation / Request for quotation and Auction are controlled by assigning selected bidders from the supplier pool to certain product groups. If an auction or request for quotation is initiated, all assigned suppliers for the selected product group will be shown.
Editing
Main product groups
- In the section available product groups all available product groups will be displayed
- By clicking "--- next ---" you can access the next section
- In the list in the upper part you can select a classification scheme which will allow you to filter the product groups accordingly.
- Search area: Enter a part or the complete name of a product group in the search field and initiate a search by clicking . The search strings "*" and "?" can also be used
- You can assign an unlimited amount of product groups to an individual supplier.
Product group assignments
- Select the desired names in the column "Available product groups"
- By clicking the arrow
you can transfer the selected items in to the column "Assigned product groups" - The assigned classification will be displayed in brackets
- By clicking
you can cancel the assignment
