Numbering schemes list

This page displays a list of all numbering schemes that you are authorized to edit. Expired numbering schemes are indicated by the icon .

Purchasers can only create, view and edit numbering schemes for the companies to which they are assigned as purchaser. See Numbering schemes - Basics for more information on numbering schemes.

The page is divided into the following tabs:

Tab

Description

Current

Displays only numbering schemes that are currently in use. No predecessors or successors are displayed. If there are only expired numbering schemes for a procedure, the latest one to expire is displayed. Expired numbering schemes are indicated by a grey icon

Displays all numbering schemes

You can search for specific entries in the list (see Searching for information) and change the way the list is displayed (see Working with lists).

Description

Details

Displays details of the numbering scheme

Name

Name of the numbering scheme

Company

Company for which the numbering scheme is valid

Pattern

The pattern specifies the format in which numbers are assigned. For example, the pattern Order-####-@Y4 results in the numbers Order-1234-2007, Order-1235-2007, Order-1236-2007, etc. See Formats for numbering schemes for more information and examples.

End value

The highest number that may be used in the numbering scheme

Current value

The next number that will allocated by the system

Start date

Date on which the numbering scheme becomes valid. The numbering scheme cannot be used before this date.

End date

Date on which the numbering scheme expires. If successors have been defined for the numbering scheme, the system uses the next successor when the end date has expired.

Usage

Indicates the object for which the numbering scheme is valid, for example, orders, delivery notes, etc.
