Delete data (scheduled task)

During operation, numerous users, companies, control structures, catalog data etc. that have been created are deleted and no longer required. To keep the database small (and therefore efficient), it makes sense to permanently delete this data that is no longer required from time to time. The "Delete data" task is available for this purpose. No revision-relevant data is lost in this process!

Recommended procedure

First of all run the "Catalog update" task (in the morning after 00:00), then run "Delete data" and finally "Database maintenance".

Parameters

Make sure to always use the 'Complete deletion procedure' option.

Recommended execution interval

Depending on the use of the system once every 1 to 7 days, at night.

Known errors/problems and causes

If the dimensions of the database are too small (table spaces or log file), this can result in execution errors, as the transactions necessary here can be very large. In this case, the corresponding table space or the log file should be enlarged and the scheduled task called up again. This does not result in data errors.
