Import projects (scheduled task)

Making it easier to create many new projects or copying them from existing databases.

Parameters

Firstly, enter the data path where the data to be imported is located, placing “\” between the directories. If one or more files should be imported in ASCII format, they are stored in a ToDo directory, the path then only goes to this directory (it is added automatically). If you want to import an XML file, the path to this XML file must be provided; its name is added automatically (here, projectdata.xml).

For explanations of further parameters please see the general remarks on control structure imports . The format of the xml file is determined by the corresponding parse file.

Recommended execution interval

Only as needed and as a batch job.

Dependencies on other scheduled tasks

None, but if possible not simultaneously with database maintenance and delete data tasks (otherwise partial deletions may result – risk of corrupt data).

Note: Correct file content is an absolute prerequisite for successful importing.
