Catalog import statistics

This page displays information about the progress of a catalog import and statistical data about the catalog.

File

In this section you can view the following data:

Field

Description

File

Name of the file from which the catalog was imported.

Performed action

Action that was performed by the catalog import process: Import new catalog, Update products or Update prices

Status

Indicates whether the import was successful or if it failed:

Import failed

Import partially successful, but warnings or errors are present

Import successful

 

Warnings encountered

Number of warnings encountered while importing the catalog.

A warnings indicates a minor problem. For example, a field may have been shortened because it exceeded the length limit, but the item was still imported.

Errors encountered

Number of errors encountered while importing the catalog.

An error indicates a serious problem, for example, data was completely incorrect or essential information was missing. This usually results in the item being excluded completely from the catalog and so it must be checked.

Import log

Click the name of the import log to view details of the warnings and errors encountered during the import process.

Remarks

This field displays messages from the file system about the import, for example, if it failed to access a file or if an input/output error occurred. These messages are not stored in the import log.

Catalog

This section displays statistical data about the imported catalog.

Description

Catalog

Name of the imported catalog

Supplier

Name of the supplier of the catalog

Imported products

Number of successfully imported products

Total products

Total number of products in the current catalog. This number may differ from the number of products imported if an existing catalog was updated by the import and not replaced or if individual products were deleted from the catalog during the catalog comparison.

Imported prices

Number of prices imported. For example, if every product has prices in five different price groups, the number of imported prices is five times the number of imported products.

Approved products

Number of products approved. If none or not all products have been approved, click the Approval link to approve the products on the Catalog comparison page.

Products without price

Number of products for which there is no price information in the catalog.

Products with today's price

Number of products whose price varies on a daily basis.

Used price groups

Names of the imported price groups. A price group specifies the prices for all or specific products in a catalog. Several price groups can be assigned to a catalog. The definition of basic contracts can be used to control which price group should apply for a given purchaser or customer.
