On this page you can compare and approve catalog products and prices. You can compare a newly imported catalog with a catalog already in the system or you can compare, for example, the prices of different price groups within a single catalog.

In order to be able to approve a catalog, the Manual catalog approval option must be activated during the Catalog import. You can also approve changes to individual products and prices if the option Changes approve automatically is not activated in the supplier catalog.

In the upper section you can select options for the comparison, for example, which products should be displayed. Select the options and click the Display results button. The results are displayed in the list at the bottom of the page.

Supplier

Select the supplier whose catalogs you want to compare or approve

New catalog

Select the new catalog and the price group. You can only select the price groups for which you have authorization.

Old catalog

Select the old catalog and the price group.

Tip: To compare two price groups in a catalog, select the same catalog in the New catalog and Old catalog fields and select the appropriate price groups.

Approve catalog

These icons are only displayed if the option Manual catalog approval option is activated in the catalog import.

	Click this icon to approve the new catalog
	Click this icon to reject the catalog

Replace old catalog with new catalog after approval

This option is only displayed if you have selected an existing catalog.

Select this option to delete the old catalog as soon as the new catalog is approved.

The existing user, user group and company assignments as well as the associated basic contract are transferred to the new, approved catalog and the new catalog can be used. The purchaser entered as the contact person in the relevant basic contract receives a message that a new catalog has been assigned to the basic contract.

Note: If this option is not activated, the new catalog’s basic contract and the relevant assignments must be created manually.

Products new catalog

Provides information about the number of products in the new catalog

Total

Total number of products in the new catalog

New

Number of products in the new catalog that are not available in the old catalog

Continued

Number of products already available in old catalog and also offered in the new catalog

Deleted

Number of products available in old catalog but no longer in the new catalog

Tolerance values

Only relevant for continued products. When you enter tolerance values, products that are cheaper or more expensive in comparison to the old catalog are shown in green or red. Products that fall within the tolerance values are displayed in grey.

Tolerance value more expensive

Higher price (in percent) for products in the new catalog compared with the old catalog. All products with a price above the specified tolerance level are indicated in red.

Tolerance value cheaper

Lower price (in percent) for products in the new catalog compared with the old catalog. All products with a price below the specified tolerance level are indicated in green.

Display options

Activate these options to specify which products should be displayed in the list at the bottom of the page.

Display active products

Lists all products that have reached their start date but not yet exceeded their end date and therefore can be ordered.

Display inactive products

Lists products that have not yet reached their start date or have exceeded their end date or have not yet been approved. These products cannot be ordered.

Display approved products

Lists approved products. For approved products, the name of the approver is displayed in the Approver column.

Display products not approved

Lists products that have not yet been approved.

Product

Enter the name of a product in this field to display only this product in the list at the bottom of the page. Use the placeholders * and ? to list several products.

Product number

Enter a product number in this field to display only this product in the list at the bottom of the page. Use the placeholders * and ? to list several products.

Approve products

	Click this icon to approve a product
	Click this icon to delete the displayed products from the new catalog which are still not approved.

Products list

This section displays the results of the catalog comparison. The products are displayed in accordance with the options you select. Use the buttons in this section in addition to the options to specify which type of products should be displayed. Click the Display results button to display the results of the comparison.

Button	Description
New	Lists products that are available in the new catalog but not in the old catalog
Continued	Lists products that are available in both the new catalog and the old catalog
Deleted	Lists products that are available in the old catalog but not in the new catalog

The following information is displayed:

Column	Description
Product	Product name. Click the name of a continued product name to compare the new and old prices on the Price history page.
Article number	Order number of the product
Approver	If the product has been approved, the approver’s name is displayed in this column. If this column is empty, the product has still not been approved.
Order interval
Old price	Old price of the product in the specified price group. An approval always relates to the set price group.
New price	New price of the product in the specified price group.
Deviation	Displays the difference in percent between the old and new price for continued products. The display here is dependent on the values that you have entered under Tolerance value.
