or On this page the product groups the supplier can supply from can be assigned to the supplier. The assignment of product groups is used for:
Classification
New product groups from classification catalogs are displayed here. In classification diagrams such as eCl@ss, UNSPSC or others products are graded into classification product groups which means these products may have several suppliers. The assignment to product groups allows the suppliers to classify better.
Free form order
If product groups are assigned to the supplier, a buyer can choose one of these product groups for his order when applying a freeform order, if he has permission for orders from the supplier's catalog.
If the product group was assigned to a buyer for editing, the free form order for further editing is shown in the cockpit (orders / request for quotation / auctions). Prerequisite for this is the approval ruel Demand start filters and for a request for quotation use of the module RFQ/Auctions.
Modules Request for quotation and Auctions
In the additional modules Request for quotation and Auctions the display of the bidders that are to be selected is controlled by the assignment of product groups to the suppliers. If a request for quotation/auction is performed for a certain product group, only the suppliers assigned to this product group are displayed.

The available product groups are shown in the Available Product groups section.
- You can add the next section by clicking --- next ---.
- In the List displayed above you can choose a classification diagram and are only shown the relevant product groups.
Search: Enter a short name or the full product name in the field below and start your search by clicking
. You can also start your search by clicking "*" and "?". - You can assign as many product groups as you like to the supplier that he can supply from.
Assigning product groups
- Select the required names from the available product groups column
- Transfer them to the assigned product groups column by using the arrow
. - You can undo the assignment by clicking
