Language-independent name of the product attribute under which it is managed in the system

Set

Name of the product attribute group to which this attribute belongs. The selection menu contains all product attribute groups that were specified in the Attribute group dialogue box.

Priority

This option is not currently used.

Data type

Specifies the data type for the attribute:

• true/false
• Integers
• Floating point
• Character
• Period/date

List

(Values)

If you enable this option, you can limit the value range in the "Values" field that appears using a list of values. To do this, every value must be on a new line without any separators.

Example: "Shoe size" product attribute with "integer" data type and value range "39, 40, 41". 39, 40 and 41 must each be entered as values on a new line.

Effects: Up to now, the system did not check during the catalog import whether the value specified there for the product attribute is also in the value list and is therefore permitted.

Measuring unit

Unit for product attributes with the Integer or Floating point data type.

Options

You can assign the following options:

• Variable: No fixed value is assigned to the attribute but this can be entered when ordering. Example: The buyer decides when ordering which sizes he requires for the product.
• Required: If a size must be specified for a product in an order, the attribute should be made a compulsory field.
• Relevant for grouping: Activate this option to prevent products that are identical but have different attributes (e.g. for sizes) from being combined in an order or order item (not yet in use)
• Hidden: This makes it an internal system attribute.

Note: Please note that you are unlikely to want to have visible product attributes for an invisible attribute group.

Here, you select the language for which you want to enter a language-dependent name and, where applicable, a language-dependent description for the product attribute.
