Address types

Addresses are classified with attributes, which describe the type of address and determine how and when an address may be used. An address may have any combination of the following attributes.

Description

Mailroom address

Company delivery address. Goods ordered are sent to this address, unless users' personal delivery addresses have been passed to the supplier. Only company administrators can create and edit mailroom addresses. However, users can view these addresses if the company administrator has given them permission to do so.

Recipient address

Personal delivery address of a user ("delivery to desk"). Depending on the settings in the basic contract, recipient addresses may be provided to the supplier or used only for internal distribution of delivered goods.

Users can create and edit their own recipient addresses in their profile, provided that the company administrator has given them permission to do so.

Invoice address

Company invoice address. Invoices and credits notes are sent to this address. Only company administrators can create and edit invoice addresses.

Contact address

Personal contact address of a user. If an e-mail address has been entered in a contact address, system messages are sent to this e-mail address, provided that the appropriate settings have been selected in the lobby.

Users can create and edit their own contact addresses in their profile.

The system can be configured so that this address is used for queries about the order; it is sent to the supplier with the order for this purpose.
