Changing catalog assignments for users and companies

You can use the function Catalog replacement for cross-company editing of catalog assignments to companies and/or users. The catalog replacement only changes the assignments of an old to a new catalog; the basic contract will not be changed.

Note: When a catalog is replaced by a successor catalog through a catalog import or catalog comparison, the basic contracts of the old catalog will be transferred to the new catalog.

1. On the page Catalog administration, click the link Catalog replacement.

   The page Catalog replacement will be displayed. Select the menu item Help to display detailed information about this page.

2. On the tab Mode you can select the assignments you want to edit.
   • Relations of catalogs to users: The catalog assignments in the user profile will be modified.
   • Relations of catalogs to companies: The catalog assignments in the company profile will be modified.
3. Click the button Next.

   The tab Companies is displayed.

4. If you want to change the assignments only for selected companies, select the option These companies and select the companies from the list. Use the CTRL- and Shift-key if you want to select more than one companies.

   If you want to change the assignments also for subordinated companies of the selected companies, activate the option and their sub-companies.

5. Click the button Next.

   The tab Catalogs is displayed.

6. From the list of Available catalogs you select those catalogs you want to replace and click the symbol   above the list of catalogs to replace.

   You can find further information on assignments under Assignment lists in the manual General information for all users.

7. Click the button Next.

   The tab Catalogs is displayed.

8. Click Save.
