Via OCI interface you can integrate external catalogs into Impact Ordering. Users can access these external catalogs from Impact Ordering System and copy products from these catalogs into their Impact Ordering basket.
The user's view to external catalogs
External catalogs are marked with the icon on the page Search catalogs. External catalogs that are temporarily not available are marked with the icon
.
If the user clicks an external catalog, he will be forwarded to the web site of the external catalog. He navigates on the supplier's external web server, selects his products, copies them to the external basket and gets back to Impact Ordering when he has transmitted the external basket. The positions he has selected in the external catalog are now listed in the Impact Ordering basket as positions on a free-form order.
Display on the basket in case of automatic validation
In case of an automatic validation, the basket or the standard form displays, next to the price, information on the result of the validation:

Display on the delivery note
If a delivery note is created for a product ordered via OCI, a product selection screen will be displayed just as for a standard product, if you create a replacement or add additional products. The system searches for the necessary catalog, but can't display anything in case of OCI products, as OCI products don't have their own products in Impact Ordering. Therefore, if you add a replacement or an additional article to an original OCI article position by clicking the icon or
, the external catalog is called up again. Here you can search for the delivered article and copy it back into the Impact Ordering delivery note.
Note: As a user can only process one position after another, it is only possible to take over one article from the external catalog back to Impact Ordering. This means that if several articles on the delivery note have been delivered wrongly or differently, the correct articles have to be taken over one by one from the external catalog to the delivery note in Impact Ordering. If you try to take over several articles together, a warning will be displayed. Only one article will be taken over and a warning informs the user that all other articles have been ignored.
