Status of control structures
The status of a control structure, such as a project or cost centre, determines whether it can be selected or entered in baskets. The status of a control structure can be changed by the company administrator who is responsible for the control structure. The Control structures update scheduled task automatically sets the status of a control structure to Closed if the specified end date has been reached.
The following status options are possible:

Open |
The control structure can be used in baskets. This status is only possible if the current date matches the start date or is before end date. The status can be changed from Open to Not active or Closed at any time. |
Not active |
The control structure cannot currently be used in baskets. This status is only possible if the current date is before the end date. The status can be changed from Not active to Open if the current date matches the start date or is before the end date. The status can be change from Not active to Closed at any time. |
Closed |
The control structure can no longer be used in baskets. This status is automatically assigned when the end date is reached. You can manually close a control structure at any time regardless of the specified end date. Important: The status Closed cannot be changed. When you close a control structure, it can never be used again. |
