Create super catalog (scheduled task)

Administrators can use the set of catalogs visible to them to create an super catalog. External catalogs and catalogs whose validity period has expired cannot be integrated. The new super catalog is then available as a user catalog and can be treated as such.

Parameters

Parameter

Description

Name of
super catalog

What the super catalog is to be called. If the name of an existing super catalog is specified, it is deleted first.

Name of main product group

What the top product group, under which all product groups from the other catalogs will be hierarchically sorted is to be called.

This is followed by a list of all available catalogs – all catalogs selected here are added to the newly created super catalog.

For example, it is thus possible to integrate all manufacturers of office supplies into an 'Office supplies' catalog, and this can then be allocated to individual departments or users 'in its entirety'. However, it is still the original catalogs and their basic contracts that are used for ordering; all that changes is the buyer's view of the catalogs.

Note: To compile products or products groups from various catalogs into a new user catalog, you should use the Catalog editor.

Recommended execution interval

Only as needed.
