The full text search (key word search) requires an index for all available catalogs to be created. Product names, product groups, key words and descriptions, even in PDF files, which are given for the product, are scanned:
Note: Only if the full text index generation takes place after new catalogs have been imported is an accurate and error-free search possible.
Caution: The task can no longer be directly selected when importing a catalog on the "Start import" tab. (Grey display).
Recommended execution interval
When importing several catalogs, it is recommended that when the import has been completed, the catalog approved and the "Catalog update" task run, indexing should be run once for the entire process. As all catalog data is processed, this may take longer with large data volumes. Because, as a rule, a very static database is involved, it is sufficient for this scheduled tasks to be carried out only once specifically as a 'batch job' and not regularly automatically.
Note: The user receives a message if the full text search index is just being recreated as this search can not then be used.
