Price comparison

On this page you can compare the prices between two catalogs and create and delete prices for one or more products.

Comparing prices

Select the catalogs for which you want to compare prices from the Old catalog and New catalog selection lists. If you want to display the total price of the products in the entire catalog and in the individual product groups, activate the Show sums buttons. Click the Display results button to start the price comparison.

The old catalog is displayed in the Catalogs list at the bottom of the page. Click the and icons to show and hide the product groups and the products.

The following information is displayed:

Name	Name of the old catalog, the product groups or the products
Old price group	Name of the price group in the old catalog
Old price	Price and currency of the individual products in the old catalog. If you activated the Show sums check box, the sum totals of the product prices are displayed for each product group and for the catalog.
New price group	Name of the price group in the new catalog
New price	Price and currency of the individual products in the new catalog. The new price is only displayed for continued products (products that are available in both the old catalog and the new catalog). If you activated the Show sums check box, the sum total of the product prices are displayed for each product group and for the catalog.
+/-	Difference between the new and old prices in currency. For product groups and the catalog, the mean ø value is also displayed.
+/- %	Percentage price difference between the new and old prices. For product groups and the catalog, the mean ø value is also displayed.

Note: If you compare two catalogs from different suppliers with the same products (because they are identified by the manufacturer number, the name could be different), the differences will only be shown for these products and not for the others.

Creating new prices

Select the catalogs from the Old catalog and New catalog selection lists and click the Display results button.

In the Catalogs list, select the product or product groups for which you want to create a new price. You can also select the whole catalog, for example, if you want to reduce all prices by 10%.

In the first New price selection list, select the price group for which the new price should apply and in the second list, select the price group on which the price change should be based. In the input field next to the selection lists, enter a positive or negative value. You can enter an absolute value in currency or a percentage.

Click the Create button. The new price is calculated and allocated to selected products.

Deleting changed prices

If you want to cancel the changed prices again, that is, delete the prices of a price group, proceed as follows:

In the Catalogs list, select the product or product groups for which you want to delete a price. You can also select the whole catalog.

In the first New price selection list, select the price group that you want to delete and click the Delete button. The price group allocation is removed from the selected products or product groups.
