Archiving data

Impact Ordering offers the possibility to save old transaction data (for example, orders and invoices) from the productive system to an archive file on the hard disk. This ensures auditing acceptability and relieves the productive system, because only current data are stored within the productive system. The transaction data can be saved to the archive file manually or at regular intervals by scheduled tasks.

You can import the archived data into Impact Ordering again at any time. The imported data is stored in an archive system and can be viewed from within the productive system via the menu item Archive. You cannot edit archived data.

To use the archiving function, you must purchase the corresponding licence. Only users with the authorization set Archivist can archive data and import and view archived data. During the data export to the archive file, the data of all companies is exported. However, by assigning individual companiesorganisationen to the authorization set Archivist you can restrict the view to the data of specific companies (see User profile - Authorization sets).
