Catalog import - Start import tab

Page finder

On this tab, you can specify whether the imported catalogs should be indexed for a full text search after a successful import and start the import. The display of the full text indexing depends on whether a catalog is manually approved or not.

Full-text search options

Activate the Update index check box and select the appropriate option for each type of item that should be indexed.

Note: If you selected the option Manual catalog approval in the Check data tab, the Update index option is deactivated because only auto approved data can be added. After approval, you must carry out full-text indexing with the scheduled task. If you are importing several catalogs, you can activate this option, but it will only be applied for catalogs that have been approved.

Tips:
If you are importing several catalogs or a large catalog, indexing should be carried out by the Full text index generation scheduled task at times of low system load, for example, at night).

It is also advisable to run the Catalog update scheduled task between import or approval of the catalog and the full text index generation in order to avoid unnecessary indexing.

While indexing is taking place, users cannot carry out full text searches.
