Catalog upload

Page finder

On this page you can upload a catalog that is present on your local computer to the server’s file system. You can specify whether the imported catalog should be created as a new catalog or whether an existing catalog should be updated by the imported catalog.

The page is divided into three tabs. Click the Next button to display the next tab in the sequence.

Description

Create upload

In this tab, you specify whether you want to create a new catalog or update an existing catalog.

Multimedia

In this tab, you can add multimedia files such as pictures that should be included in the catalog.

Upload catalog

In this tab, you select the catalog and upload it to the Impact Ordering server.

Create upload

To create a new catalog, select Import new catalog.

To update an existing catalog, select the mode Update catalog (pricelist import).

Import new catalog

Select the following options:

Supplier

This selection list is not displayed for suppliers. Select the supplier that delivered the catalog.

Create additional core catalog

Activate this option if an additional user catalog should be created that contains only products marked with the attribute Core catalog in the supplier catalog. The text entered in the Name extension field is appended to the name of the user catalog when it is created, in order that you can distinguish it from the imported supplier catalog.

Buyer companies

In the Available buyer companies list, select the companies that should have access to the catalog and click the icon .

Click the icon to remove companies from the Assigned buyer companies list.

Update catalog (pricelist import)

Select the following options:

This selection list is not displayed for suppliers. Select the supplier that delivered the catalog from the selection list.

Catalog

Select the catalog that is to be updated.

Prices only visible for buyer company

If prices in the catalog should only be visible for a specific company, activate this option and select the relevant company from the list.

Upload Multimedia

In this tab you can add multimedia files that should be included in the catalog.

In the Multimedia field, enter the path and name of the file or click the Browse button to search for the file. Click the Upload button to upload the file to Impact Ordering.

The uploaded file is displayed in the Last files list. Repeat these steps for all files that you want to upload.

Upload Catalog

In this tab you select the catalog that is to be imported. If you selected the Import new catalog option, only new catalogs are accepted; if you selected the Update catalog option, only catalogs that have already been imported are accepted (see also Transaction types).

In the Catalog field, enter the path and name of the catalog file or click the Browse button to search for the file. Click the Upload button to upload the catalog to Impact Ordering.

As the catalog is uploaded, preliminary checks are carried out. During these checks, the file name, supplier, BMEcat version and the transaction type are displayed. You can enter a new name in the Catalog name field. Select:

When the import is finished, you will receive a message in the lobby.

Note: Creating an index for the full text search must be carried out by an administrator with the Full-text index generation scheduled task.
