Comments and attachments

On some pages in Impact Ordering you can enter comments and Internet links and add files as attachments.

comments

Note: When you add a file as an attachment, only a link to the file is added. The file itself is not stored in Impact Ordering.

On some pages two comment boxes are displayed, one for internal comments and one for external comments, for example, for the supplier.

Existing comments are displayed above the text box and indicated by the icon (internal comments) or (comments for the supplier).

Entering comments

If necessary click the icon to add an internal comment or the icon to add a comment to the supplier. Enter the text in the box Your comment and click Save.

Note: Do not use the characters < or > in comments. These are interpreted as HTML or XML tags by the system and can lead to errors, for example, when printing forms or submitting CBL orders.

Adding files as attachments

To add an attachment, enter the path and name of the file in the Attachment field or click the Browse button to search for the file. Click the icon to add the file.

To open an attachment, click the icon or the name of the attachment.

To delete an attachment, click the icon sym_entfernen next to the attachment.

Note: When you delete an attachment, only the link to the file is deleted. The file itself is still available on your system, but can no longer be opened from within Impact Ordering.

Adding internet links

You can only add Internet links if your system has been configured accordingly.

To add an Internet link, enter a name for the link in the field Name and the Internet address of the page you want to link to in the field URL. Click the icon to add the link.

To delete a link, click the icon sym_entfernen next to the link.

Tip: On some pages you can add a wider range of file types and also text and Internet links, for example, in the Address tab of your user profile. See Multimedia attachments for more information.
