Occasionally you will come across products in a catalog that have no price. For these products the link Ask 'supplier' for the price is displayed instead of the price in the product search. You can click on this link to request a price for the product from the supplier. When the supplier replies to your request for quotation, you receive a message in your lobby.
For some catalog products you can send a request for quotation (RFQ) to the supplier. For these products, the link Ask 'supplier' for the price is displayed in the product list instead of the price.
The Request for quotation decision page is displayed. If a price has been defined in the catalog for this product, the price is displayed on this page. In this case, you can either add the product to your basket as a "normal basket item" with the given price or as an "RFQ item" without a price. If no price has been defined, you must add the product to the basket as an "RFQ" item.
Note: If at this stage you do not want to add the product to your basket, click the Cancel button. If you do not leave the page with the Cancel button (but, for example, by clicking the Back button at the top left of the page) a new RFQ item will be added to your basket.
The Basket item page is displayed. You can now change the given quantity and enter other information, such as a desired delivery date. Click Apply to save your changes.
The product is displayed in the basket as a normal basket item.
The Basket item page is displayed. Enter the desired amount of the product and any other information such as the desired delivery date. Click Apply to save your changes.
The product is added to the basket as an RFQ item and marked with the icon .
